Tucked away near the border of Luxembourg and Germany lies a river that’s home to wild brown trout. It’s a great place to fly fish, but it’s more than that to the people who spend time on the river and in its nearby forests.
Kristallklar, a film by Simon Kay and On The Fly Kreativ, captures the magic and peace that this region holds through the perspective of Kirill, a fisherman who acquired the lease to the fishing rights of the river. With insight from a fly fishing scientist, the film also discusses efforts to protect the environment and restock the river with native crayfish.
