The Crossing, from filmmakers Andy Cochrane and Johnie Gall, replicates a common paddling trail taken by Cuban refugees on their way to a better life in the U.S. In the film, three paddlers—Cochrane, Wyatt Roscoe, and Luke Walker—sail to Havana in order to kayak 27 hours all the way back to Key West, Florida.
