The cycling world has turned its eye toward an obscure challenge called Everesting. Simply put, it’s the act of pedaling up 29,029 feet—the height of the world’s tallest peak. On May 11, retired pro cyclist Phil Gaimon set a new fastest known time of 7 hours 52 minutes. Impressive, right? Well, four days later, Utah cyclist Keegan Swenson quickly bested him, with a time of 7 hours 40 minutes.
