ARIELLA: Hi everyone, Ariella here. I'm a Gear Editor at Outside. And today, I want to tell you about my favorite summer sandals, the Birkenstock Arizona EDA. So, these are an all-foam version of the classic leather Birkenstocks. And that's great for a number of reasons. Primarily, they're super versatile. I have an ankle injury right now, so I've been swimming a lot of laps at lunch. And I can wear these to the pool, get them wet, come back to the office, and still feel presentable. I don't feel like I would if I was wearing flip-flops, totally unprofessional. So they're really great in between. They're also super lightweight, so great for traveling. And very affordable, they're just $40. So, you can buy them and not feel like you have to baby them every time it rains outside.

Obviously, I wear Birkenstocks all the time. I'm wearing a nicer pair of all leather ones today. So of course, if you want something that's going to be fully professional, I would still go for something like this. But if you're the kind of person who loves wearing Birkenstocks all the time and doesn't want to have to sacrifice having them look nice for being able to wear them to the crag, to the lake, to the pool, whatever, this is a really great kind of affordable second option. Because you don't have to be afraid of ruining them. They'll get dirty, put them in the shower or the bathtub, rinse them off, and they look almost as good as new.

I would really recommend them as sort of a great, super versatile summer option, that can go from the outdoors to the restaurant, to work, and kind of fit in and work in all those places. I've just found these to be a really great all-around daily driver. And I would highly recommend them for anybody that finds themselves frequently transitioning between the outdoors, the office, the bar, and kind of want a shoe that can handle it all. If you're looking for a great new summer sandal, I hope this was helpful. And thanks for watching.
