The Shelterwise Salsa Box combines simplicity and elegance for those interested in living off the grid. The 93-square-foot home fits a queen-size bed, a flushing toilet, shower and mini-tub, electric hook up, hot-water heater, and a kitchenette. For the hardcore survivalist or devout herb lover, there’s even an option to install a rooftop garden.
The Salsa Box sits on a trailer chassis to be towed to your ideal tiny vista. Its cedar, fir, and pine components are even certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, a non-profit that promotes responsible forest management.
Portland, Oregon-based Shelterwise gives you three Salsa Box purchasing options: just the plans, the “half sha-bang” (shell only), and the whole “sha-bang,” which includes cabinetry, wiring, plumbing, and appliances.
$25,000 for the “whole sha-bang,” shelterwise.com
