As its mouthful of a name suggests, this 686/New Balance collaboration was designed with running-shoe elements: a stability post for overpronation and a foam footbed. While we don’t recommend it for a 5K, it is (generally) the comfiest boot here, though some testers complained of a pressure point at the ankle. 686.com
