Even the synthetic-leather trim is heat-welded rather than stitched. A fat rubber toe cap provides further armoring. Serious shoe abusers, such as adventure racers and Amazing Race competitors, will appreciate the stout construction.
Bonus: Gore-Tex XCR uppers contribute to all-around environment-proofness.
Bummer: A more aggressive outsole design would improve traction in loose dirt.
