A polyethylene storage container commonly used for gear. Rubbermaid’s company history touts the introduction of the rubber dustpan (1933) and the plastic garbage can (1962) as seminal moments in the history of American convenience. We’d argue that nothing compares with the introduction of the Rubbermaid bin, which provided a storage unit, dresser, and portable kitchen for generations of dirtbags.
