Good for Backcountry

The trim-fitting Lobuche is every bit as breathable and snow- and rainproof as any hard
shell we’ve ever tested. But it’s got something else up its sleeves. Because glues and seams can interfere with breathability, Mammut uses electrical current to bond the Lobuche’s
waterproof-breathable membrane to the outer shell. Does it work? Hard to say, but we think so: We did manage to ski-tour in above-freezing temps without getting clammy. Either way, the stretchy Lobuche is a great choice to do every sport—year-round—which may even justify the price. 1.1 lbs; mammutusa.com
