This week, we scanned Amazon's bestseller list for the highest-rated camping saws, then pulled the best, most authoritative reviews for each.

Bahco Laplander Folding Saw ($25)

(Bahco)

“I originally bought this folding saw for camping, but I live on several acres of forest and I now carry it every time I go out for a walk. When I see a branch that needs trimming or ivy crawling up a tree, I remove the saw from my leather holster and cut away. The saw cuts fast and does not bend. It cuts wood with amazing speed and efficiency. I highly recommend getting a leather holster to carry it around. Absolutely one of my most favorite tools. No regrets whatsoever.”

Corona Razor Tooth Folding Saw ($20)

(Corona)

“I just received my Corona saw and took it out to a wooded area of my land to test it out. It took down four-inch diameter trees in under 30 seconds with little effort. I've purchased a lot of saws in my 20 years as a professional landscaper, but no other saws came close to the ease with which this design cuts. The teeth are tough and razor sharp. It cuts with ease on both the push and pull stroke. I've only used it on green wood so far, but have no doubt it would power through dead and frozen limbs as claimed.”

Sven Saw 15-inch Saw ($30)

(Sven Saw)

This saw is very impressive for a folding saw. Don't waste your money on any other product—this should be a must-have for any camping, fishing, hiking, or prepper activity. It is solidly constructed, folds up nicely, and actually performs as advertised.”

Gerber Freescape Camp Saw ($45)

(Gerber)

This little thing kicks butt. I've taken it out with me three times now and it has handled everything I've thrown at it. I was a little skeptical of it at first because of the size, but it really does saw great. It folds up to a nice size and is really easy to pack.”

Zippo AxeSaw ($56)

(Zippo)

“When I ordered this I thought it would be more of a novelty item than a useful tool, but it was anything but a novelty. It has a super ergonomic feel to it that allowed all of the group to use it comfortably, we used it to drive stakes for our tents at winter camp in January. It was also essential to prying our stakes back out of the frozen ground. The saw was great for trimming around camp and even cutting up the medium size logs around the fire. This is now my go-to hatchet over anything else.”
