Today, Ibex confirmed its dissolution and liquidation in a letter posted on Ibex’s website. On November 6, Outside Business Journal reported that Ibex had begun to lay off some of its Vermont staff. We are sad to learn that management has not been able to drive the results needed to sustain this much-loved brand. It is a sad day, and we wish the best for all of the people whose jobs have been and will be impacted.
Ibex is asking fans of the brand to continue to support causes that they hold dear by donating to Conservation Alliance “to help fuel and fund the protection and creation of North America’s wild places” and Outdoor Industry Association “to help folks find jobs in the amazing outdoor industry and to support its Outdoor Foundation, which focuses on getting kids outside.”
